to add a new escalation policy, click the add escalation policy button at the top right corner of the escalation policies screen step 1 enter a name and description for the escalation policy step 2 set the wait time in minutes this defines how long after an incident is triggered before the escalation process begins step 3 configure the escalation steps under add escalation steps 	• select a notification channel from the alert via dropdown 	• select the assignee to be notified from the dropdown next to it 	• use add another alert to add multiple notification channels to the same escalation step if you select slack as a notification channel, you will need to integrate a slack account first see slack integration docid\ mtjxk7bmwjoqrch3b75sy step 4 set the escalate after duration in minutes this is the time window given to acknowledge the incident before it moves to the next escalation step step 5 to add another escalation step, click add escalation and repeat steps 3 and 4 you can add any number of escalation steps step 6 once all escalation steps are configured, click save a confirmation message will appear and the policy will be displayed in the escalation policies list
