APM
Application Performance Monitoring (APM) is KloudMate’s service-centric experience for understanding latency, throughput, error rate, and service dependencies.
It is built from tracing data and RED-style operational metrics. Use APM when you want to compare services, inspect dependency edges, or move quickly from an unhealthy service to the traces and logs behind it.
What APM Covers
Section titled “What APM Covers”- service health and request volume
- latency percentiles such as P99, P95, and P50
- error rate and throughput trends
- dependency relationships between services
- quick navigation into related traces, logs, issues, and dashboards
APM Views
Section titled “APM Views”- Services for service-level request, latency, and error trends
- Service Map for dependency topology and service-to-service flow analysis
Setup Paths
Section titled “Setup Paths”- KloudMate Agent eBPF Observability for kernel-level capture without code changes or restarts
- Kubernetes APM with KloudMate Agent for the preferred Kubernetes APM flow through the KloudMate Agent
- Manual Instrumentation for SDK-based tracing and custom spans
Where Metrics Fit
Section titled “Where Metrics Fit”APM surfaces request-rate, error-rate, and latency views at the service level. Broader application, infrastructure, database, and custom metric documentation lives under Metrics.
